Forest Chapel (1,282 feet), built in 1673, continues an ancient tradition of a rush-bearing service every August.
High on the dramatic moorland, the Cat and Fiddle Inn (1830) stands at 1,659 feet, a welcome sight to travelers as well as summer visitors out walking, hang-gliding, taking helicopter rides or merely enjoying the spectacular view across the Cheshire Plain.
